Hello,

my name is Holger and I am living and flying in the Czech Republic. I joined the club several weeks ago and just want to introduce myself and to say hello.
I have learned flying with gliders years ago, afterwards I did my license for touring motor gliders and here in the Czech Republic I finalised my license for motor planes. I am member of the Aeroclub in Hranice, there I have learned on Zlin’s (Z-126, Z-526). I am now still flying Zlin’s ( I am nearly at the end of my aerobatic training ) and for longer trips to Germany, Austria or Slovakia, I have the opportunity to rent a C 172.

In the last year, I red an article about the 7 GCAA and I also have had a 30 min. flight afterwards and I was really impressed about this “all-rounder”. It’s a really classical aircraft with a lot of “character” and now I am looking for a used 7 GCBC or 7GCAA. Unfortunately, Citabrias are relatively rare in Europe, so I start looking also in the US to find a used one.

I was very impressed about the forum, a lot of information for a Citabria newbie. I am also interested in sharing pictures and stories about flights. How and where you doing this?

Best regards

Holger

Welcome!!! Not sure how hard it would be for you to import one but most Citabrias are pretty reasonably priced right now. Lots for sale if you know where to look.

Hi Villem, hi Keth,

thank's for advice Villem, I already saw the advert. I am looking for a 7GC..built around 2000 and 300 to 600 h TT. There is another interesting one on plane check in Switzerland, but high price and very little progress in negotiation due to owners actual work load. I am surfing also on our fly market, barnstormer, aso and others with some initial contacts, partly with good price.

Import and pre purchase inspection in the US will make a lot of efforts, but I hope, that I will have a lot of helping hands.

There is a 7GCBC on floats that is low time in the central MN for sale. I think he is asking $60K but not sure. If you are interested I can possibly get you some more info.

Hi Keith,

I did not see this advert. When you can get some additional information for me, that would be excellent !

Thanks

Holger

Holger,
I don't believe he has it advertised yet. I talked to the owner at a fish fry/fly-in. He is building a Kitfox and is wanting to sell his 7GCBC. I will try and get the specifics and let you know.
