Hello,
my name is Holger and I am living and flying in the Czech Republic. I joined the club several weeks ago and just want to introduce myself and to say hello.
I have learned flying with gliders years ago, afterwards I did my license for touring motor gliders and here in the Czech Republic I finalised my license for motor planes. I am member of the Aeroclub in Hranice, there I have learned on Zlin’s (Z-126, Z-526). I am now still flying Zlin’s ( I am nearly at the end of my aerobatic training ) and for longer trips to Germany, Austria or Slovakia, I have the opportunity to rent a C 172.
In the last year, I red an article about the 7 GCAA and I also have had a 30 min. flight afterwards and I was really impressed about this “all-rounder”. It’s a really classical aircraft with a lot of “character” and now I am looking for a used 7 GCBC or 7GCAA. Unfortunately, Citabrias are relatively rare in Europe, so I start looking also in the US to find a used one.
I was very impressed about the forum, a lot of information for a Citabria newbie. I am also interested in sharing pictures and stories about flights. How and where you doing this?
Best regards
Holger
