No Alternate Air?

Here’s a question for my forum friends that are familiar with the IO-470 setup as used in the 14-19-3… where is the alternate air mechanism to be found? I would think that having an alternate air source is simply a required feature on any fuel injected engine. What am I missing? Thanks… Rob

'bout the only thing is the spring loaded flapper in the cowl inlet. Opens if the filter gets blocked.

they also didn't come with alternate air for the vacuum. Although I never needed one in my entire life, I did add it. High-and-mighty CFII's wont train without one. I added it, then ejected the instructor.

Thanks Bill. If the weather would clean up a bit I hope to make it down your way in my temporary ride (Socata TB-10)... Rob
