I need a list of O rings to rebuild Master Cylinder for a 1980 Decathlon . I believe the Master Cylinders were manufactured by
Gerdes.
Thanks

Forget it Buddy !

The stems wear and it will take most of a day to take out the old cylinders, service them and put them back. They will leak next year.

2 options:

1: Buy new Cleveland cylinders, fit them, forget.

2: Buy new Robbie Grove cylinders, coat them in grease, swear blind they were on when you bought the airplane - save $300, carry on !

Grove Aircraft 670-5 Master Cylinders will be added to the type design this week. Save the grease!

In a few months you'll see his wheels and brakes added on too....but he needs to finish his TSO first.

Secret tip from the inside

The master cylender "O" ring #'s are: MS29513-031, MS28778-3, and MS28778-6. I have resealed them on a 7KCAB and A 8KCAB with no problems for 4 years or more now. Bill Becker

Jerry,

That is great news, I am battling with weeping Gerdes cylinders at the moment and having done the rings on my last Citabria and then saw them leak I was considering using Robbie's as a 'replacement'.

Usd his products on 2 previous aeroplanes - exceptional quality and value.

Jerry, once Grove's are approved for current production, will there be a provision to use thier equipment on earlier aircraft; i.e earlier Citabria/Decathlon, Champs and Chiefs?

I would say yes, and no.
Basically, we added it to the toe-brake prints.

If we get caught up here, we can look at it to make sure we don't need a different cylinder for the heel users.
