Larry,
Lightly scrape any loose or peeling paint. Clean thoroughly. Treat any bare wood with epoxy varnish.
If you can, remove the tire scuff plate on the rear spar and do the same. Don't forget the inside of the
sill [in front of the retracted tire].

When I redid my wings, I used PolyFiber epoxy varnish, and that was it. They still look good. Tom Robinson
