parachutes for citabria

Can anyone please advise on the best type of parachute to use for aerobatics and where I can buy these?

Hi I have the same problem.

I have been practising aerobatics in a Super D and not having the option of the removable pads in my 7KCAB I need to find a
snug and compact parachute.

The seatback softie does look pretty good though.

Any suggestions??

I use a Softie seat pack and find it ideal in my 8KCAB. I have the removable back cushion but this should not be an issue as the back part of the parachute harness is not very thick with the Softie seat pack. Pull your bottom cushion out and the seatback chute fits in nicely. Using only the seat pack as the bottom cushion will lower you somewhat compared to the standard 4" seat cushion. I am tall (6' 3" ) and found the seating position comfortable with the seat pack chute and back cushion removed. This places me lower and further back which is better for my long legs.
I put a thin piece of carpet scrap between the seat frame and parachute container to protect the chute. The seat frame contains some hardware with cotter pins that will chafe the parachute if you are not careful.
