I just ran across a letter from the FAA in 1965, comparing the Pesco pump #012023 to other pumps. Is this the pump for the Cruismasters? It gives comparisons to Cessna pumps, Eastern Industries pumps and a Stratopower pump. If the pesco 012023 is from a Cruismaster, this letter might help to use a substitute that the FAA says "compares closely". If someone wants a copy, I will snail mail it to you. Grant.

Hi Grant, I'm not sure if Pesco 012023 is equivalent to the Pesco 1P-677 as listed on the type certificate. There has been some previous discussion about the Pesco pumps as some of these pumps are marked with "CCW", presumably meaning counter-clockwise rotation, but that isn't noted on the TC. Furthermore I have been told by a couple of shops that the Pesco 1P-677 can operate in either direction of rotation. It would be nice to have some of these questions answered and yes, please send a copy of that letter. Attached is a copy of the extract from the type certificate. Thanks!
