Pilot Adjustable Seat Wanted

I am looking for an adjustable seat for a Citabria. Does anyone know if it is just a rack attached to the original seat or is it a different seat all together? Any suggestions of used parts / salvage yards to look into? I am a new member currently just finishing a recover and upgrades on a 1975 7ECA located in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Looking forward to the forums!!

Thanks to everyone in advance!!

I believe it is a different seat. Be aware that I also seem to remember an AD on the adjustable seats. Actuallly I know I replaced the adjustable seat in my 65 7ECA when the AD came out.

U won't find a used one. everyone wants one. I bought a new one from the factory cause u also have to change control sticks for clearance. Buy both a front and rear adjustable one and new sticks, looks great and no ADs. They just bolt right in.

Front was around $650, rear is closer to $700. Sticks are $90 a piece, plus a little more for different grips and ptt switches. The backrests both fold forward.

Thanks for the reply's everyone. From what I've read from older blog's the adjustable seats don't really give you much extra legroom. Do they help with getting in and out of the aircraft? One of our owners is a heavier-set male and I think that is why he was looking for the adjustable seat. We are all around 5'8" tall.

I think the seat moves a total of 5 or 6" fore and aft, but in my experience it makes a huge difference, its well worth the money.

Thanks for the reply's!! Would both sticks have to be replaced if we just replaced the fwd seat with an adjustable seat assy?? If the adjustable seat moves further aft than the fixed seat then we will probably invest in it.
