Pinstriping with Aerothane

Can you use a brush (like the hot rod guys) to pinstripe with aerothane or is it just going to go all over the place without going where I need it to go?
I kinda hate to think I'm going to have to mask EVERYTHING off to shoot a 1/8 inch wide dk blue pinstripe...

Double D, the auto boys use an adhesive pin strip that comes in all colors and all widths. That's the way to go it is fast, fairly easy to install and sticks like glue. You can watch them do it on You Tube. Lynn the crate :)

I agree that automotive pin stripes are the way to go. I watch Larry at the factory and when he pin stripes the whole plane is masked off. It is beautiful when he is done but it is really time consuming.

Thanks fellers! :D
The reason I asked is a friend of mine has this guy that free-hands pinstriping. His work is incredible (steady hand)and very reasonably priced. I'm not entirely sure he's human!
I guess the way to go here is try it out for myself on some piece of junk covered with Poly Fiber.

If your topcoat is aerothane, a pinstripe professional should be able to use whatever paint product they are used to using. But ya, try it out on a sample to be sure.

A pinstripe pro is the best way to go.. even the best tape still ends up looking like you bought it at Walmart, and the edges collect junk.
