I am located in south Louisiana so can't really help you in Monroe. I do remember a real nice 8KCAB located in Ruston. Late 90's vintage Super Decathlon, Red & White in color. Maybe the FBO there can point you to the owner. He probably knows someone in the area that knows the breed.
