Propeller spinner and back plate

Im looking for a propeller spinner and back plate for my 14-13-2, it has the 0-435 engine with a Hartzell prop. The old spinner is 13 inches around and has a internal cone with a hole in the center that fit over the round nut on the front of the prop. The back plate fits on the back of the propeller with 4 metal flange that attach to the alum back plate and screw into the back of the propeller. would anyone know where I can find one? or what make of aircraft it's came from?

hey db!
i think the spinner you're describing is originally off of navions and possibly early bonanzas that used the hartzell HC12x20 ("bladder prop") on a 20 spline shaft. i just happen to have such a spinner on my 14-19 cruisemaster w/ O-435-A. although it is somewhat rare, it's not as rare as the original bellanca 14-19 spinner, and it looks ok and seems to do the job.

i don't specifically know of any available (not mine  ), but you might try checking in with the navion crowd and maybe hartzell as a last resort (oh, my achin' wallet! ). barnstormers.com and e-bay also come to mind. hope this helps.

There's a chap in New Mexico who deals in spinners only -- used ones. I'll see if I can find his address tonight and Email you if I do. You'll need to give him a make and model number OR send him your damaged spinner assembly (broken pieces anyway) so he can look for a match. Brendan Carmody
