Radio Racket

Hi, all!

I'm getting crazy engine racket on my Cruisair's radios. Does anyone know a fix other than buying resistor plugs for nearly 40 bucks each?

Had the problem in a Stinson once, after the capacitors didn't solve the problem, we have the generator checked out. After the generator checked good I thought to turn off one mag at a time in flight and found considerable difference in noise from one mag to the next. I recall they were bendix mags somewhat unique to the Franklin (or Stinson) and had a familiar shop go over them. They found something wrong internally that solved the problem.

Maybe this is the problem I have with mine. Bendix/King with auto adjust squelch. ishing sound comes on all the time like when we pull the test button. Installed filter on power line, filter on mag leads etc, none or very little improvment. I will do this test in flight. good idea, Thanks
