Recovering a wood wing (urgent)

I was contacted "cold" about recovering the wood wings on 392. This guy (can't remember his name) said I should start at the wing root and wrap the wing diagonally to the tip in one continuous piece of Stits :!:
Never heard of this method. I plan as of now to cover them as if they were standard wings- a piece on top and a piece on bottom with the seams on the leading and trailing edges overlapping. Thing is, I kind of wish I COULD do it in one continuous wrap. Not necessarily diagonally, but around the leading edge with the seam on the TE only. Do the wing in, oh, say three pieces :?:

Sure would appreciate some input on this. If you'd like to get ahold of me to discuss this, e-mail me and I'll give you my phone number :D

Dear Danger Dave: I am not an expert but have recovered numerous wood wing Mooney wings & can't see why you would want to do this continuous wrap thing. You will have trouble getting the wrinkles out and will have visible tapes running on the diaganal on the top of the wing. If you lap at the leading edge as shown in Stits book you will have no seams on the top, and the three layers of fabric on the leading edge is good protection from hitting birds & gas pumps & runway lights.
