I have a 1979 Citabria 7ECA, the rotating beacon motor does not work anymore and I would like to replace it with a strobe, has anyone had this problem and what was the solution.
New units used to be available, but it seems that is no longer the case. You can get a whelen strobe unit from aircraft spruce and install it with a form 337. The new Aurora's have this unit in place of the old rotating lens unit you are describing.
