First off, don't pay so much for an airplane without flying them both.
The 8GCBC lacks the expensive and aggressive ad campaign.
As for the airplane itself.
They pretty much behave the same at low speeds. The 200 HP version of the Husky has a slight edge over the 180 Scout. However, its slight enough that pilot skill is a bigger factor.
Once you get to cruising, the 200 HP is still no match for the cleaner Scout and the Scout runs away from it. Getting in and out, and comfort and visibility are totally in the Scout's favor. Useful load (once the truth is revealed) is about the same.
Like I say, go try them both. If you REALLY want a strong Scout opinion, the Northwest Backcountry boys in Idaho will take you for an impressive ride. Otherwise Owens Aviation in your state generally has one to try out too.
