split door for 7eca

got my eye on a 72 7eca, but would like to have the "split" door.
also i would like to modify the window so it opens all the way. any ideas where i can get the door or what i will need to do the window mod?

My understanding is the split door was/is an option on new aircraft. Don't know if it is offered as a retrofit from the factory. Sent them an email with this question but so far after a week no answer. I'll give them another week then call them.

The full-opening window is a matter of a bracket and a placard available from the factory, but it's limited to certain years based on minor changes in the wing. Your 72 should be good to go, as my '71 ECA worked. Search the archives for the thread we did on this awhile ago for more info. I think there may be old threads on the split door also.

Old-timers disease kicking in. I recalled after I posted that my 71 was eligible for the fully-opening window cause it had new factory wings in 2000. Best bet is to check with the factory on yours.
