Years ago I owned a 1976 7GCAA. I know I flew the aircraft with the door removed. This was not an stc it was simply done with approval from a bulletin. If I remember correctly the aircraft was approved for flight in the normal category with the door removed. I may still have that information if you can not find it elsewhere.
