I had a friend tell me that Tarver Propellor wasnt answering the phone. I googled and their web site and it didnt come up. Am I doing something wrong or have they closed up shop? ____Grant.

I called the number and let it ring for a reasonable length of time and got no answer. This is what my friend told me. This is not a good sign. Grant.

I have a Tarver Aeromatic on my Cruisair. Spoke to Glenn about three months ago and he was going to send me a couple of replacement "Tarver" decals for my prop. I never received them and starting about a month ago I have called them a few times and never had a pickup and have left 3 or 4 messages and never got a call back. They have likely closed up their shop or gone fishing until further notice. Too bad.

I found this on the smithstonian website,.. ahh, he's had an impressive run if that's the same guy running the company

Does anyone know what actually offended the FAA? It would be nice to know what the chances are that the props will ever be offered for certified aircraft again.

Well, the web site is still there. I found it at:

http://www.aeromatic.com/

Not sure if anyone is doing anything to maintain or answer ?

Some time ago, Kent told me that the friction between RNO FSDO and his shop began when folks with no/limited knowledge of propellers began dictating how he was to run the shop and what paperwork was required. You know that as you age you tend to get more "hardheaded." Well, Kent has got to be 90 and neither side saw "eye to eye" with no compromise in sight. This is where Aeromatic is today.....
