TOE BRAKES

Don't do it! Heel brakes are delightful once you get used to them. Also many conversions allow contact with the firewall before full rudder is applied. Have seen that on a PA 22/20 and a CAP PA-18. After the first month, you will have no trouble switching back and forth. It's like the stick vs. wheel discussion. Heel brakes are like the stick.
 
I agree, heel brakes are cool once you get used to them. I got my tailwheel endorsement in a cub with heel brakes. My first impression was something like "oh great, these things are going to be a real pain" but after a couple hours in the log book I liked them better than toe brakes.
