Hi everyone
I am a new guy here. I have a 1975 Decathlon and I am trying
to find a replacement part. There are 2 round vents on both sides
of the fuselage just forward of the door. (one on each side) They spin
in position to allow air to be forced into the cockpit down around the
lower portion where your feet go. They are made of plastic. One of mine
has broken and I am trying to find a replacement. Here is the dilemma.
The original holes are 3 inches in diameter. Every replacement is for either
a 2 inch or 3 1/4 inch hole. The airplane has been completely redone and
I am a little leery about trying to enlarge the existing hole after so much time
and money has been spent making the airplane nice. Does an anyone have
one they would be willing to part with. I have tried all the usual suspects, ACA,
Wag Aero, Spruce and was unsuccessful. Thanks ahead of time.
