Vortex Generators for Super Decathlon

I'm considering putting VGs on my 2000 Super Decathlon. I put them on my old Cessna Aerobat and it lowered the stall / landing speed by 7 - 9 %. The only down side was that after I added them I couldn't spin the plane anymore. It would snap roll, but in a spin, just drop off into a steeply banked stall.

Any experience out there?

I'm curious at to why you would want to add vortex generators to a Decathlon. Intentional spin entry is at 65mph, well above stall. Even at 75mph over the numbers, the ground roll is short. At least for me, stall speed doesn't seem to be an issue. The symetrical wing has advantages in inverted flight over the high lift wing on a 7KCAB.
I chose a Decathlon for aerobatics. I'm going to add spades to mine. Lighter pressure on the stick in a roll is more appealing for the money.
If you go the route of vortex generators, please post your impressions.

I have VG's on my 7GCBC, they work great!!! But the reason for them in my case is where I land. Short fields, gravel bars, sand bars. Unless you plan on doing these fun things with your Decathlon, I don't see a need for them. But that is something for you to decide. Bob
