What kind of fabric did Bellanca use in the mid 70's?

Does anyone know the brand/type of fabric that Citabria's came with when they left the Bellanca factory? My parents just bought a '76 Citabria and it still has the original fabric. Its tight and has some cracks in a couple places and the tape is lifting in on little place on a wing. Everything that is wrong is easily fixable.

Another question I had is, was there any rhyme or reason to painting a stripe under one wing but not the other?

So what kind of fabric is it and how long could it last? Im judging it will last at least another 10 years, hopefully more.

Last September I was at the Antique Airplane Association fly-in, and there was a Cessna Bobcat there that hadnt been recovered since 1956, I can only hope it would last that long!

ETA for good measure:

Ceconite with Randolph dope, usually excellent workmanship from Champion in that era.
