Windscreen "Uni-brow"

I see old Cruisair pictures all the time with what appears to be a sunshade over the top of the windshield. Was this just doped-on fabric or what?
Seems like this would be a neat feature to emulate in a ground-up restoration. It would certainly hide the front of my headliner job

Dave,

When mine was recovered in the old days, it was simply painted on, it does not really serve any purpose, but it does add a little nestalgia, and would cover up that headliner work.

I just might paint mine back on. You never see it anymore and it's definitely a Guiseppe trademark!

How are you doing BTW?

guys!

my 14-19 (N522A) has the "uni-brow" painted on the upper windshield area as a part of the re-cover/paint job. i think it provides a bit of sun-block when looking at ole sol, sorta like "tinted glass" on sixties vintage cars.

i'm assuming that since bob seals did everything else "bone stock" (and a fine job, at that!) that this was also a factory feature.

i can send pix if anyone need them.

blue skies to all!

vic & N522A

I'd sure like to see some close-ups so I could see how it's done. If you get a chance, please send them to :D cruisair@hotmail.com :D
(no happy faces).

Thanks!
