Wing rebuilding detail not to overlook

I rebuilt one wing, installed tank and cover THAN measured the distance between spar straps. The spar had shrunk in width & I tightened up the bolts a bit, now it looks like I will need to tear everything apart to install shims under the spar to fuselage mount straps to get the proper width diminsion back to fit the airframe. Ken

I was just about to tighten the wing strap bolts too. No I'll get smart and use a caliper so I can get the wings back on without having to go through the same pain you are enduring.

Keep it up- it won't be long before you're airborne again!
