Wonderful Video Feature

For those of you who have never heard of Paul Berge, he's - IMO - the finest and wittiest contemporary aviation writer. After I gave him my usual dose of faux criticism because he chose the Champ as the best of the old school LSA eligible airplanes over the Luscombe (Berge owns a Champ) in the latest issue of Aviation Consumer, he gave me more than the usual counter attack in jest.

This is from Iowa Public Broadcasting http://www.iptv.org/video/detail.cfm/969

Iowa, Land Between Two Rivers. He wrote it, narrates it and, of course, flies his Marquart (sp?) Charger in it.

Thanks, Jonathan. A very soothing clip and a welcome view of the sky now that Sparky is hiding in a hangar surrounded by a couple of feet of snow :(

Incidentally, Ed Marquart, creator of the Charger, was a Cruisair owner and an original Club member (Member #46.) He passed away this July at 85. I'll miss his friendly greetings at OSH (dare I mention that town?) One year, he and Ray Stits came by to sell me a Chapter 1 membership for $1. I bought ten.
