I understand that the 14-19-3 has a electric fuel pump. Please I D the pump with make model & number. I want to put a electric fuel pump on my 14-19-2. Larry I would also like a copy of your 337.

the FAA data sheet indicates that it should be Weldon 4020A2A. I doubt if you can find one but if you get the requested approval, you could use any similar pump.

A 14-19-2 is not fuel injected like the 14-19-3. A Facet pn 478360 pump mounted right where the wobble pump is would be more appropriate.
Good luck! Glenn. N7695B.

My crate a -2 has a Dukes Inc. 14 volt fuel pump mounted on the lower left firewall. The install is per Dukes drawing # 1443-00-1 dated 8-2-1978. I have 3 fuel pumps, eng, wobble and electric to feed the OPEC 470. Once again people, the -2 has NO service or parts manual and our buddies at AAC won't sell you any drawings. Closest plane to a home built you can get! I love it. Lynn the crate :D

I think the weldon pump I mentioned is not part of the injection system, but is the "auxiliary fuel pump" according to the FAA type certificate data sheet. But the other suggestions would surely make more sense as they are available and under substitution rules for older aircraft would be appropriate. I can't find any source for the weldon pump on brief search. On injection aircraft I have owned there was a auxiliary pump for priming the engine and if the primary engine pump quit and I suspect it would work on a carbureted engine as an emergency backup. I find tht the wobble pump will not work if there is air in the system but the engine driven pump will. I would love to include some electric backup on my baby. Where should it go?-I suspect close to the wobble pump.

Here is the advisory circular that governs using unapproved parts on older aircraft http://www.faa.gov/aircraft/draft_docs/media/DraftAC23-27.pdf This was the draft and I am unsure if the final approval ever went through but my mechanic is using this rule when he works on my plane. Does anyone know if it was fully approved?? It would allow you to substitute any reasonable part (aircraft quality) for unavailable parts (like perhaps the wobble pump for which you could substitute a reasonable aircraft quality fuel pump) There is another section of FAA rules allowing one to use owner provided/construced parts where approved parts are unavailable

Hi Rock,
I will email you the 337 for the fuel pump on my Cruisair. It is a Bendix Part No. 476-459. The fuel system was also modified and is included in the 337. It will be in two files, the 337 and the attached drawings. It was good to hear from you.
