Tail Wheel Overhaul

I now own and fly pat driscolls bellanca that he rebuilt the tailwheel on, and it is great! Don't really see a need for a different tailwheel except maybe to reduce the bumps, and get a little better forward visibility

The 14-13 series aircraft spec sheet (A-778) lists a Maule SFS-P8 as the third choice for the assembly; Will this actually fit in the same yoke as the 6.00x2 solid wheel and tire? That would be very nice since I'm not overly fond of the rough & noisy ride the solid tire gives me and I think the wheel halves are worn out. Pretty expensive to get new parts so perhaps a minor upgrade for similar money is a good idea!

I'm looking for a set of "axle spacers", BAC part # 8316-15. That's item -11A from plate 117 of the BAC parts manual. Definitely not a Scott tailwheel part.

Any help would be fine!

For the narrower tailwheel, I have used short lengths of steel tubing as the spacers.
The Maule unit does fit my 14-13 yoke. Remember that previous posts discussed the fact that
there are two different width 14-13 T/W yokes.
