After agreeing on the price, he stated he would send a certified check for an amount thirty times the agreed-to price and the item would be picked up by his rep. I am told that this is a common scam; to protect our members, adequate warning should be given."
"I saw your wanted ad on the web and am obliged to let you know that I have it in here for sale...Get back to me if you still in need though. You are to make payment through Western Union or MoneyGram." Several of these come from the U.K. Notice that he didn't try describing what it is he's trying to sell.
Another scammer has been identified going by the name of David White, 5711 Vernal Fall Road, Mariposa, California, 95338 USA. Anyone having any knowledge of this person should contact police.

1950 Cruisemaster 14-19 completely dismantled, all parts boxed and in storage. N511A is still registered with FAA and has all logs and records. Records indicate AC / Engine 1247 TT. Overhauled at 397 hrs. Appears to have flown little after Oct 1977. July 19 1984 engine inspected with one new piston, ring sets, seals and gasket sets. Also Four first run Lycoming wide deck cylinders from AEIO-320-E1B. They are as removed but show no sign of unusual wear or cracking. My Lycoming info says that they are LW-12416 and have about 1940 hours. Had good compression at the last annual. The engine was disassembled because of a bad cam lobe. For an F200H Aeromatic on a Franklin, need an instruction manual or at a minimum some help figuring out the oil seal for the crankshaft oil (there is no apparent o ring or gasket); for a Cruisair 14-13-2 with a slide down window, need pilot side cabin trim (with map pocket).
